{"id":628,"date":"2023-10-11T19:45:37","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T19:45:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ptepa.es\/?p=628"},"modified":"2025-01-14T20:02:02","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T20:02:02","slug":"we-attend-eurocean-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ptepa.es\/index.php\/en\/2023\/10\/11\/we-attend-eurocean-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"WE ATTEND EUROCEAN 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EurOCEAN is a forum for meeting and debate between marine and fisheries research institutions, stakeholders and management institutions from Europe and the Member States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session held in Vigo on 10 October addressed aspects that are so important for the fisheries and aquaculture sector, such as ecosystem-based management (EBM), integrated ecosystem assessment (IEA), and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in maritime and marine research and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first session concluded with a debate on the possible impact of pollution from the presence of medicines in seawater, coastal resilience and \u201cblue carbon\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Wednesday 11 October, all the co-organisers of EurOCEAN 2023 presented and signed the Vigo Declaration: \u201cSpeaking with one voice to achieve the Single Ocean we want\u201d which calls for integrated land-sea policies and management, sustained and better coordinated ocean observation and greater citizen engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">https:\/\/www.euroceanconferences.eu<br>https:\/\/www.euroceanconferences.eu\/vigo-declaration<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EurOCEAN is a forum for meeting and debate between marine and fisheries research institutions, stakeholders and management institutions from Europe and the Member States.
