The Association of Wholesale Fish Businessmen of Madrid (AEMPM), a member of PTEPA, presents its Report “Evaluation of the wholesale fish sales sector in Madrid: a supply and demand perspective”.

The report has been prepared by the L. R. Klein Institute of the Autonomous University of Madrid and analyses the period 2016-2022 in the activity of the wholesale sales sector as well as in consumption habits of fish products.

The objective of the study is to carry out an analysis that evaluates the activity of the wholesale fish sales sector and that allows us to identify the effects that determine the changes in consumption habits and modifications in the marketing processes.

This report has been prepared within the framework of the call of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, for aid to companies in the trade sector that are considered SMEs and to merchant associations in the Community of Madrid to support and promote competitiveness and modernization through digital and sustainable transformation in trade, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union-NextGeneration EU, for the year 2023.

The presentation took place on February 7 at the CEIM facilities, with the presence of its president, Mr. Miguel Garrido, with the Deputy Director General of Commercial Entities and Promotion of the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Services of the CAM, Mr. Ángel Luis Martín Martín, the president of the AEMPM Ms. Julia Gonzalo Moreno and Ms. Milagros Dones of the Lawrence R. Klein University Institute for Research in Economic Prediction attached to the Autonomous University of Madrid.
