The Spanish Technological Platform for Fisheries and Aquaculture (PTEPA) is a non-profit association whose primary purpose is to promote technological development and innovation within the national fisheries and aquaculture sector, including the areas of product processing and commercialization.
PTEPA serves as a meeting point that brings together companies, research centers, public administrations, and sectoral organizations, fostering the collaboration and coordination necessary to address the major challenges facing fisheries and aquaculture through R&D&i.
In general terms, the Platform provides entities with insights on innovation, supplies valuable information, and facilitates their integration into a strategic position within the national aquaculture and fisheries sector.

WORKING GROUPS
Within PTEPA, four Technical Working Groups (TWGs) have been established: Aquaculture, Fisheries, Processing, and Commercialization.
Within the framework of each of these Technical Working Groups, a periodic review of the sector’s current status is conducted, identifying the challenges and opportunities of the moment. These serve as the foundation for defining the priority R&D&i lines across the entire value chain of the national fisheries and aquaculture sector.
With the strategic R&D&i lines defined, and in alignment with national and European policies, we develop the Strategic R&D&i Agenda for the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
