0204. International Transfers
In the event that PTEPA, through the use of technological and/or system maintenance services provided by third parties, makes international transfers to recipients established in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the European Commission has recognized that certain non-EEA countries provide an adequate level of data protection, and therefore your data may be transferred to entities located in those countries with the appropriate guarantees offered by this legal basis for processing your data.
In the event that these transfers must be made to countries outside the EEA or whose level of protection has not been recognized by the European Commission, PTEPA will rely on other legitimate grounds established by the GDPR, such as the signing with said companies of standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission for international transfers, as provided for in Article 46.2 of the GDPR.
0205. How do we protect your information?
At PTEPA, we are committed to protecting your personal information.
We use reliable and effective physical, organizational, and technological measures, controls, and procedures aimed at preserving the integrity, security, and privacy of your data. Furthermore, all personnel with access to personal data have been trained and are aware of their obligations regarding the processing of your personal data.
In the contracts we sign with our suppliers, we include clauses requiring them to maintain confidentiality regarding the personal data to which they have access pursuant to the contract, as well as to implement the necessary technical and organizational security measures to guarantee the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, availability, and resilience of the systems and services that process personal data.
All of these security measures are periodically reviewed to ensure their adequacy and effectiveness. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed, and no security system is impenetrable. Therefore, if any information processed and under our control is compromised as a result of a security breach, we will take appropriate measures to investigate the incident, notify the Supervisory Authority, and, where appropriate, notify any users who may have been affected so that they can take appropriate action.
